Honestly curious. What repercussions?

I think a lot of these critics trying to make a name for themselves in Hollywood and the traffic on their websites/blogs, etc. can sometimes stem from how they review certain movies. If an aspiring film critic has finally gotten to where they want to be and they go shite on the all female Ghostbusters movie, it won't be good for buzz and their career. Not trying to sound like a douche, but it is a legitimate thing, kind of like a right wing actor not getting as many auditions due to their political leanings.

Edit: Or also think about being a white film critic who lambasted 12 Years a Slave...wouldn't be good for business in Hollywood.
