he used to go to AK, get dropped off by chopper/float plane into the middle of nowhere, he would take a knife, some salt, fishing line, a compass, stuff like that, to live off of his ability to survive, would always say that if he wasn't back at the lz at the designated pickup time, it just didn't go well, a few weeks at a time
