Roanoke is more dangerous than approximately 91% of US cities. New Orleans is more dangerous than approximately 95% of US cities. ~45 crimes per 1000 residents in Roanoke. ~53 crimes per 1000 residents of Orleans parish. Congrats on the huge upgrade.

If you believe the stats then NOLA is safer than Nashville, Houston, and Minneapolis.
Inept police forces can lower crime rates because they become less likely to be reported.
