I dunno. MLS is an inferior league, so it's never going to be on the level of baseball and football. And the Premier League has a ceiling because there's no connection for most fans. If I were going to watch a European team, which team would I follow and for what reason?

The advice that I give everyone who asks this question - just start by watching the teams that Americans play for. You're already invested (a little) in that guy's success, unless you're some kind of communist.
Eventually, either one of the Americans' teams or one of the opponents will draw your eye.
