What I'm trying to do here is show you that scholarship numbers don't work like you think they do. We're over and we have to get under. It is just as much Rashard Lawrence and Devin White and Greedy Williams taking his spot.

Not only that, but he didn't have "a spot".

At no point, ever, was a football scholarship offer used to entice Trent Domingue to play football at LSU. Not in 2012 as freshman, not in 2013 as a redshirt freshman, not in 2014 as a sophomore, and not in 2015 as a junior. In 2015, immediately before the season started, he was given a one-year scholarship because LSU failed to use its full allotment of scholarships for the 2015 season.
In 2016 Miles told him that he couldn't at this time promise him an additional 1-year scholarship, so he decided to leave.

This is not the same thing as a scholarship player being processed; this is this 5th summer in a row that Trent Domingue was going through summer workouts without the promise of scholarship to play football at LSU the subsequent fall, but this summer he decided he needed one.

So it's all about a scholly when he's been PWO 3/4 years and didn't transfer?
Not so sure he gets scholly anywhere else either if he wants to continue education and FB.
Quite possible he has been passed up and just a streaky kicker that's still in that 3/7 November funk after making 10/10.
