It's pretty cool. Normally I'd agree with Salmon for a lot of kitchen gadgets/gifts, but this one really is cool. If you use a crockpot a lot it's a must have.
I also had an old crockpot without the start timer and didn't have much time to prep meals in the morning so I found I rarely used it. This completely cuts those issues out of the picture. Come home, prep stuff, toss it all in that basket or gloriousness and ready to roll in 30 mins.

Can this thing cook a pot of red beans (Camelia dry, not canned) and sausage in 30 minutes. I might start crying if you say yes.
