Ok I'll take him to the vet. Transporting him I think it's inevitable they'll get in my car, will that create a whole other issue? Once in the car will they just die off or will I be infesting it too?

i don't think u need to take the cat to the vet, all the vet will do is the same thing you can do with revolution or some other medicine
