quote:He's not playing at 330 under Orgeron. O likes smaller and quick DL's. He'll have to lose about 20 pounds to have any stamina and be a force against the SEC Big Boys.
Valentine remains focused on his return to Baton Rouge, stating that he is 330 pounds right now. The thought is that Valentine, who is a disruptive force and gifted football player, would immediately push for playing time, and likely an insertion into the LSU starting lineup, assuming he does everything he is asked to do.
If he can lose some weight he might be able to get some playing time, but the "Insertion into the Starting lineup" is laughable.
If he does indeed wind up on the "University of LSU" campus yet again, what's going to be done to make him go to class, study and make his grades? Who's going to be saddled with the monumental task to see that it gets done?...............

Valentine's not mentioned in any preseason mags.

Your reading comprehension is laughable.

LSU has a fully staffed facility for this that has dealt with struggling athletes before. This isn't the first rodeo

While it seems apparent he's trying to drop even more weight, he's going to be a NT in a 3-4. He'd see the field at his current weight and still eat up space in the middle.

Jerrell Powe was one of Orgeron's cornerstone recruits while at Ole Miss. kid was massive.
