the people who created the "titles" argument are why these teams form

i'm thinking of writing an article on that

you reap what you sow, irrational-emotional thinkers

you want to promote the irrationality of using team stats to define players' careers? well then players will adapt to that paradigm to increase their shot at a title. you don't get to have it both ways

2010 ushered in a whole new way of thinking, a line we had never heard before...don't just win a title, win a title the hard way, don't try and put yourself in the best position to win.

Make sure to put that line in your article and give me a shoutout!

And inconsistent to that as well.

So who are the arbiters of which player is "doing it right"? Which teams did KD have the green light to join? The whole thing is ridiculous.

Players in every sport join teams because they've functional front offices, a great support system and the opportunity to win now. And in a "max deal" driven league like the NBA, players like KD are pretty much making the same money regardless of location.

I don't understand why KD is drawing criticism for signing with GS. So is there a list created/maintained by NBA superfans that dictate where superstars are allowed to play? How's that work- Milwaukee, Phoenix are ok because then you would have "earned" your championship. Golden State or the Cavs are out because you wouldn't have earned it. What about up and coming teams? What if KD signed with Boston or Toronto or Portland? Would that be "cheating" also?

Also write an article on the nostalgia crowd whining and bitching about the NBA being boring because one team is too good when their preferred era had two teams max that contended for a title.

Celtics won 8 straight championships in the 60s.
Lakers won 5 championships in 9 years from 80-88 (with Boston winning 3 out of the other 4 championships over that time period) .
Bulls won 6 championships in 8 years in the 90s.

7 different teams have won championships in the last 10 years.

The 80s/90s were better crowd prefers an era where one team did, in fact, dominate the entire league for nearly a decade, but for some unexplained reason, a team that has the potential to dominate the next 5 or so years is an abomination and will ruin the NBA. Fascinating stuff.

You can have it both ways if the system is designed to prevent it from happening.

If the max salary was larger (or non-existent) in the NBA, it would be much tougher for players to collude in the way they are now. When every team can pretty much offer the same deal, of course these players focus on other aspects.
