So is Gendry going to be the tease of a possible Arya redemption arc? If he really is back this season, then I could see him, Mel, and Arya all converging with the Hound and the Brotherhood. And if that happens, then Gendry will probably be the one that tries to bring Arya back from turning into a ruthless, emotionless killer.

Since they aren't doing the Rorge and Biter book storyline, with the children, etc., I agree that he's with Beric and the BwB.

They're probably just going to show him endlessly paddling around Dragonstone. Davos told him to stick to the coast, after all, and it's an island, so he's likely still out there.
