Not a basket ball fan but seems to me NBA is looking like EPL, 4-5 stacked teams with high priced talent...few solid ones and a bunch of Everton's.

Honestly, I am ok with it. Never liked the salary cap in most pro-sports (MLS is the worst).

I enjoy watching big clubs spend absurd amounts of money on the Falcaos and Di Marias of the world only to fail. In the NBA, the cap is still protecting these teams from doing too much damage to themselves though.

I love situations like the Angels contracts with Pujols and Hamilton.

Obviously, because this isn't a new phenomenon.

Except for United just decided not to pick up Falcao and was able to quickly recoup 75 percent of the transfer fee for Di Maria.

You give Omer Asik a 5-year, $58 million deal, you're pretty much stuck with him.

Rich coming from a fan of a club that pretty much wasted £80 million out the £100 million spent in one summer.

Kind of a tangent, but there are some players that are obviously not worth the transfer money. Bale was hard to sell imo, and I thought Liverpool was foolish to sell Suarez.

The NBA is exactly like this because of the Salary cap

The KD thing is weird situation where GS is paying a 2 time MVP nowhere close to his actual value and the cap jumped an absurd amount.

And it only happens because they locked up the current MVP on a deal back when his ankles were unreliable and he wasn't a supernova.

Probably a good amount of players now wishing they had voted for cap smoothing instead of this massive jump

So are you saying the NBA is or isn't like the EPL?

I´m saying La Liga is not like the NBA, and the EPL is pretty bad now, for probably three seasons running.

As to NBA-EPL I cannot opine, I abhor the NBA.

Yeah, you´d think I love it, given the Spain players (and many are stars).

It´s fricking horrible to me, but again, just me.

Wait, are you criticizing another team for the way it spent its money recently? That's really rich.

ETA: Kagawa, Zaha, Nick Powell, Fellaini, Di Maria, Memphis, Darmian. Then you've got Shaw who may never play a full season. Rojo is not great. Schneiderlin and Herrera couldn't lock down a place in the team every match. Come on, man. You can't seriously bag on another team for blowing money recently.

ETA2: Somebody do Chelsea flops and keep this going
