pretty sure they know about the actual content of the story ... somebody wanted a black guy in there for diversity since 'black actors matter' ... simple as that ...

Hahahahaha no dude, he got the job because he's fricking Idris Elba. Look I like a lot of your posts and don't want to get into a heated debate hear.

The people bringing up the concerns about the racial tensions and their fear of how that will turn out are at least somewhat legitimate. But too with this whole PC agenda bullshite.

Tell me, did you even blink an eye at the cast list for Exodus: gods and Kings? Well neither did I. And when Elba was cast as the gunslinger, my eyes stil refrained from any blinking.

Are you one of those Afrocentrists who thinks the ancient Egyptians were like West African blacks and built the pyramids?

i didn't pay much attention to exodus ... haven't even seen it, but i certainly would not expect to see matthew mc playing jesus, so i understand the point ... but there's no other reason available .. casting a black guy in that role totally changes the dynamics of the characters, not just with roland and odetta ... somebody wanted to be edgy and put in a black actor, so they did ... he's a good actor, but it's like putting dicaprio in one of the walter mosley stories ...
