This. And it seems like this isn't the same trip to the tower that Roland took in the books. Makes it easier to get rid of the racial aspect and tell a new story.

Yeah but you gotta understand that was a quote from some random guy named Stephen King. Like who is that? Is he even a true fan of this series? Does he even truly understand what it's about?! I doubt it.

If you are going to "tell a new story" then make up your own story and characters. Don't use someone else's idea a change important aspects of it.
