To me, the color of the gunslinger doesn't matter. What I care about is how fast he can draw... and that he takes care of ka-tet.

I bet they tone down detta to the point race doesn't matter.

Bet she is 100% different than the books. Heck, we already know this since they cast Elba.

Clearly a case of casting having no clue about the actual content of the story.

I like Elba, but he isn't Roland and casting him forces them to change a major part of another character. This is a case where race is actually important.
