This generation vs Next generation.

I was thinking about it the other day and thought about some differences between this generation and the older one. I am closer to 16 than I am to 22 so that should give you an idea of what I mean.
Music.
I think in 15-20 years, only two genres of music will be really popular. Rap and Pop, There's not a ton of teenagers or youth that don't listen to both, white party or black party, its only rap music, you in the car with your friends black/white boy/girl that Aux cord is probably blasting some rap song.
Sports.
Basketball is growing further than any sport, I think Football will still lead for a while, but every race, gender can play it. The superstars also play a part, Lebron, KD, Kyrie >> A.P, Rodgers, JJ.
Politics.
This is a strange one, Its the popular thing to hate Trump, it gets you lots of Retweets so people may just be showing face. I've actually got a good number of conservative friends, who hold very strict conservative values, one thing is that 70-80% like Obama while clinton and Trump probably share 20%, Obama is like a rockstar to a lot of people. If this generation could vote, he'd probably win by a landslide.
School.
Teenagers care alot about GRADES not SCHOOL, I know lots of smart people who do not care about school, but only focus on grades. Like literally 80% of teenagers care about grades and DGAF about school
Race.
I don't think a lot of teenagers - 25 year olds care about race, one thing I do know is their use of the N word is probably 15 times more than the older generation, black people don't really care too much tbh.
Social Media
Do not use facebook because familly members are on it.
Clothing.
Its Adidas and Nike, leggins and shorts, and distressed jeans. We are very flashy in clothing.
Dating.
Everyone puts their relationship on social media these days, SC, Twitter & IG. Interracial dating is probably at a high, a lot of people think its cute, but I think a lot of people still judge, its cute when its an athlete with a snow bunny, not so much when its a black girl and white guy.
Celebrities
We like them a lot, Kanye might be the most liked celebrity among us, inclusive of black and white, a lot of people refer to him as dad, we agree that he is crazy but his swag is liked a lot. We also like Drake, Rihanna, Adele, Selena Gomez. Taylor Swift really is 50-50.
That's all I can really think of, ask me some more if you want to know lemme know.

We will be living in the postapocalyptic rubble as the killer drones hunt us down.

Are you in high school or college? Many of theses things change in college.

Lol I've talked to the mush heads who say that race is no issue, they just haven't been exposed to the real world yet.

Im 22, so I think I can relate to you. Yes rap and pop are very popular but there are still huge amount of people (myself included) that dislike both and listen to other genres exclusively.
Football will always be the most popular, but basketball has bigger stars because it is less of a team sport and focuses more on individuals.
Most high school and college age kids dont care about politics and the ones that do lean left, thats the way it has always been. Once they get older, have families, start actually working and understand how the world works they become more conservative.
I have never and will never used social media because it magnifies every bad thing about our society and only serves as a a microphone for narcissism and stupidity but I know that most kids go along with whatever is popular.
We only care about grades and not school and actually learning something because that is the way the system has shifted. Everything is about testing this and testing that, teachers are forced to only teach to the next standardized test. There is too much pressure to reach a certain percentile or benchmark to continue to receive that government dough.
As far as clothing, dating, celebrities and race relations I would say that they are all a product of our hypersocial culture, every generation is different than the other ones whether for worse or for better.

Outside of my 32 year old self, a couple of buddies, and the older people in my family, I haven't heard many people use it IRL other than black people. It's seen as one of the most horrible words you can say nowadays. I know this because I have a lot of family that is 18-25 and deal with a lot of transplants living in New Orleans
