If Iceland were to win the Euros this year, would it be viewed as a bigger upset than Leicester winning the premier league? Part of me says yes because of the sheer population descepancy and complete lack of world class talent compared to the other squads, but part of me says no because it's a tournament vs an entire season. Still, a championship would mean victories over England, host France, Germany/Italy, and whomever is left from the other side of the bracket. What say you?

Leicester by a lot.

I like Iceland, but they just had to advance out of the group stage, which isn't too hard. Then it's a few KO round games where anything can happen. I feel like a lot of people had Iceland as a trendy pick to make the quarterfinals or semis if they were lucky. It'll be a remarkable achievement if Iceland wins, but Leicester had to maintain an insane level for 38 weeks. None of us even had Leicester finishing top half of the table

Leicester City because they beat better quality teams and did it over an entire season

Leicester is the most unlikely champion that I am aware of.

Leicester. having to string together 38 results rather than 6-8 is way harder.

Also, Iceland hasn't really been a pushover the past 5 years. There is a reason they are 34th in the world

If you're going purely on population, why doesn't China win everything?

Leicester by far I think.

Though Iceland may be more dramatic if it were to happen. Tournaments are just like that.

Seems to be the year of the underdog. Leicester win the Prem. Wales in the Euro semis. Iceland making a run. What's up is down.

You can still count on England to suck though.
