Even if we do not sell him to City this year and collect some money in return, he can just leave and go there next year and we are left with nothing.

In my opinion, if he wants to leave, sell him and invest the money you make on that sell into buying younger or comparable players who would be happy to play at Arsenal.

I look at it like RVP. We handed man u the league and his 23 goals. RVP wasn't the same after that season, he started getting older.

Sanchez will be able to go wherever he wants and be almost 30 and has spent the past 4-5 years of playing non stop. We basically got him for his best years already.

Plus, you then have to trust Wenger to actually spend that money. Even if you get a guy like mbappe, he's not better than Alexis rt now.

It would be such an Arsene thing to do to finally strengthen the squad then sell your best player. Leaving you rt back where you were.

I think that's a good example of this situation. So, would teams like Bayern and PSG know City want him and just offer half of what they are offering?

Also, how much say does Alexis have in all of this. Let's say PSG is offering 30 million more than City. If Alexis really wants to go to City, would PSG also have to offer him more in wages to make sure both club and player get the move done? These transfer situations are still a bit confusing even after following them for almost a decade.
