Anybody seen this documentary? It chronicles their 2008 Somewhere Back In Time World Tour and the logistics involved.
I never knew that lead singer Bruce Dickinson was the damn pilot who flew their Boeing 757 named Ed Force One from city to city. I guess it just surprised the hell out of me for some reason.
The plane carried the band , 72 support staff plus all the stage set up freight around the world. Up the Irons!
Can't believe you are just now seeing it. It got tons of press coverage back in 2008. I saw Ed Force One on the tarmac in Newark one time. This year, the have a 747.
Revelations live from Australia is majestic.
I still contend that Maiden are a top 10 business success story of all time.

I always like them growing up. I was born in 69 but never watch VH1. Never even flip through that part of the guide on my TV because I grew accustomed to all the old music channels being shite years ago. I happened to flip through the other night and saw "Iron Maiden" and stopped. Recorded the show and scheduled recordings for a lot more over the next week.
But yeah, I never knew this about the band. Very impressive how hard they worked and their dedication to fans. Also liked seeing them playing golf, tennis, and soccer. Damn good athletes. Their business model and branding was pure genius. Extreme respect.
