Anybody seen this documentary? It chronicles their 2008 Somewhere Back In Time World Tour and the logistics involved.
I never knew that lead singer Bruce Dickinson was the damn pilot who flew their Boeing 757 named Ed Force One from city to city. I guess it just surprised the hell out of me for some reason.
The plane carried the band , 72 support staff plus all the stage set up freight around the world. Up the Irons!

It was pretty good but I would have liked more of traditional documentary on the band. Bruce owns an aviation consulting company now and makes a lot of money from that. He flies everything from Boeing 747s to WWI era biplanes. He knows a lot about planes and aviation in general.

It was a great to see all the Maiden fans around the world. Them damn South Americans love them some Iron Maiden. Mexico City was awesome as well.

Can't believe you are just now seeing it. It got tons of press coverage back in 2008. I saw Ed Force One on the tarmac in Newark one time. This year, the have a 747.
Revelations live from Australia is majestic.
I still contend that Maiden are a top 10 business success story of all time.
