I was thinking about that the other day, actually. They should be who we model ourselves after. Hard-working, athletic defenders, smart and organized tactics. That's something we can do.

Yeah with good coaching and a consistent philosophy throughout the ranks, I think we could achieve that in a generation. The technical ability and sheer volume of special players would take longer maybe, but we could at least instill the philosophy and be much harder to play against.

Conte has very much revitalized this Italian national side. Gli Azzurri have been very tumultuous lately, and Conte deserves a lot of credit for what he has done for them. I'm glad that he has got a chance with Chelsea too.

It works for them because they are all Italian and all love Italy. That's something we can't/won't do.
