I like the show, love it really but it's hard watching as ASOIAF fan. It's an issue with me though, it's like that with every movie adaptation of books I love.

It has had that potential since the beginning but this season just squarely put it right there with anything else you can name imo.
If the last seasons and final battles continue to be this epic it'll be in a tier alone

It's surpassed the Fall Guy and A-Team for me, edging towards Dukes of Hazard territory but not quite there.

Here is how I would describe it:
The Wire is more believable, more authentic, and provides some powerful social commentary, and Game of Thrones is so much better.
