Yeah that's 4 hours of your day in your car 5 days a week AT LEAST.

There are roughly 260 work days a year.

That is 1040 hours a year spent in your car commuting to and from work. That is 43 days wasted doing nothing but sitting in traffic per year.

In contrast, a 15 minute commute would be 130 hours per year or just 5.4 days per year in your car commuting.

ETA:

So having a 15 minute commute instead of 2 hour commute saves you almost 40 days a year in time. That needs to be calculated into your salary AND into your quality of life.

This doesnt include the increased risk of an accident ocurring with you in it.
I worked at pizza hut delivery while going to college and was on the road alot . My only two accidents ,in my lifetime,i got in were while working there and i been driving over twenty years. Knock on wood by the way
