Did any of the old timers here attend the first Atlanta Pop Festival?

I did and it was HOT but great.
I'm curious to hear the stories of other people who attended it.

Where do you want me to start?
The First Atlanta Pop Festival, Second Atlanta Pop Festival, The New Orleans Pop Festival or Woodstock?
The First Atlanta Pop Festival was the first time some of the great musicians and bands at the time ever played in Georgia.

I'd like to know current status. You still in SF selling mood rings?
Woodstock - Did you eat some brown acid?

I wish I was the person who came up with the idea of the mood ring.
The person who did probably made as much money as the person who came up with the pet rock.

No, I took some of the good acid and was peaking just when Sly and the Family Stone began performing.

I was one and a half years old when I was at Woodstock. I missed the Atlanta Festival though.

I probably smoked weed with your mom and/or dad there.

It took place in July, 1969 just one month before Woodstock.
Here's a 6 minute YouTube video of it with Led Zeppelin and Janis Joplin in it.
I remember Led Zeppelin because they performed at night when it was cooler.
There was some kind of metal building there with a hundred or so people standing on the roof while they watched Led Zeppelin perform.
They were all stomping their feet to the music so hard on the roof that I thought the roof was going to collapse.
Fortunately it didn't.

If you knew my mom and dad you would chuckle heartily at this thought. I wouldn't have been anywhere near Woodstock at that time.

I guess I misunderstood what you meant when you posted:

However, even if your mom and/or dad were at Woodstock the odds that I met them there let alone smoked weed with them there would have been approximately 400,000 to 1.
