I agree with your point on throwing accuracy being extremely important as well, I did forget that and left it out. However I disagree that Tebow could never have developed into an NFL caliber QB.

If Tebow would have been given the proper coaching, working on this throwing technique etc, he had all the other abilities to become a successful passer in the NFL. The problem was that all he was really ever taught to do, waa run the football and get in the endzone. Meyer said it wasn't his responsibility to develop Tebow into an NFL QB, all he was responsible for was winning games while he was the head coach at Florida.

While Meyer has a valid point, there is no reason he could not have developed Tebow into a competent passer while continuing to win games. Sure, they may have lost more games at the beginning of Tebow's career, but just think of how many more games, and possibly at least one more national championship they might have won, had Tebow become an NFL level passing QB by his junior and senior years at Florida.
