Check out my Thailand resource travel thread:
Here
We also did Siem Reap Cambodia.
As high of a recommendation as I can make...stay at Friendly Angkor Boutique hotel. The people are amazing! Family owned and they held a huge party while we were there that was free and so much fun. We booked through agoda.com. The hotel is very close to the night market and pub street. Also, just down the street is a wine bar that is owned by a Dutch couple. They serve wine, meat and cheese boards, etc. Awesome little place.
Also, look up Mr. Da as a Tuk Tuk driver. He is great too.
