wait, the team was on it's heels, because he refused to sub a guy who had no legs, and it ended up causing a foul which led to immediate goal.

Even lanny cakes was calling him out for not getting fresh legs in there.

USA was lucky, Ecuador missed several sitters for the tie.

Bedoya literally had nothing, and he kept him on the pitch for another 20ish minutes, and his tiredness led to goal #1.

It's bad when a guy who isn't a coach, is coaching better from the booth. He called for fresh legs, especially for bedoya, in 5oth minute. And luckily they survived.

And please dont give me any of that, u cant sub in 50th minute bullshite. For some reason, asinine coaches have this 70 minute rule, u sub then. Guess what, it can be too late, and almost was for USA.

I like Jurgen. I think he is by far the best coach we have had for our national team. I was also not very high on Landon as a player (I know I will get stoned for that by many) and didn't have an issue with him moving away from him.

That said I absolutely agree with Landon and other that were calling for a sub for Bedoya. He was gassed. He was burned out. I though going to 10 men was going to hurt us because of how we were playing. We were using forwards as defenders and we were running ragged. I understand why coaches like to wait, for a sub, but when a player is gassed, he is gassed. You make the switch and move on.

That decision to wait did nearly cost us the game and cost us the ability to have the player for the next game. It seems like waiting for a specific time on the clock to sub a player is coaching based on philosophy instead of coaching for the moment.
