Duplantis has to freeze there. The pitcher herp derped and didn't even check, but if he goes on contact he's out at the plate and this place goes bananas. You can argue he should have gone once the pitcher went to first but that is risky AF when you're standing on 3rd already with 1 out presumably.

if he gets thrown out at the plate, as long as fraley moves to 3rd base on the play, the only difference is you now have runners on 1st and 3rd and 1 out, instead of 2nd and 3rd and 1 out.
