But why do I have to pay her 2-3% for her to bring her client's offer to me? She is not negotiating on my behalf. She is negotiating on his behalf.

You don't have to pay a commission to her agent. But as jmtigers said if you can get your price, paying the commission would be worth it.

Do you want to sell the fricking house or not? Pay the damn 3% and walk away knowing you didn't pay 6%.
