Something like 80% of kickstarter projects don't meet their anticipated ship dates. I think a lot of it has to do with the creators not being well-versed in everything that goes into mass producing their product.

That said, you should dispute. The two items I've supported were both delayed a good bit, but many times throughout the process the seller let people cancel their order, plenty of heads up before the manufacturer couldn't alter the order.

The manufacturer has not been timely with updates and has not followed through with what has been posted on their FB page either.

I've lost all confidence in them and their ability to be able to deliver a quality product that they can support after its release, whenever that is.
