No problem with that. Where I part company is the premise that this intelligence is a middle eastern monotheistic deity.

That's perfectly reasonable I suppose. But are you saying there's no chance the this Universal Intelligence" (i.e. God) is a "middle eastern monotheistic deity"? Or do you simply not know?
