They are scared of risks but that is what you get with big money companies. EA has actually been better as of late. 5 years ago they would never make another Mirror's Edge.

I would agree with this. I would argue that Ubisoft is a lot worse right now.

And rightfully so. They spend ridiculous amounts of money on games and development, put tight deadlines on those guys to get the game out as quick as possible. All hinging on the possibility of it not sucking and being a complete shite show. And this is all because gamers are so bipolar when it comes to games.
