Apparently (someone correct me if I'm wrong) Everett was trying to swim across a small lake. When about half way across he started yelling for help, so one of his buddies swam out to him and started pulling him. Everett was laughing and cutting up, so his friend assumed he was ok and left him, swimming back to shore alone. When he got there and looked back, Everett was gone.

Something about they thought donny was joking but eventually someone went after him and started helping him ashore.
But the guy said he wasnt struggling or panicking so he let him go and swam to shire by himself thinking donny was behjnd him. Turned around and he was nowhere to be seen. Rescue divers found him 15 ft from shore where he drowned.
