Just read the entirety of your post, disregard what I said about the brothels haha apologies and enjoy your stay in Deutschland! Drink plenty of beer, it's the best you'll ever have.
ETA: if your hotel offers a complimentary breakfast, for the love of god avail yourself of it. Also, eat at the train station at least once. Some of the best food in the city. The little white veal sausages wrapped up in a bun with some Thomy mustard and an Augustiner to wash it down simply cannot be beat.

Definitely do Englischer Garten. Just walk around and hit up biergartens therein.

Tell that to someone in Prague!
Munich is a great city.
And, yes, the bier is incredible.
Biers I drank in Munchen:
Spaten
Augistinerbrau
Spockmeister
Hacker-Pschorr
Paulaner Weissbier
Paulaner
Heinekin (yes! it was served at a group dinner)
Hofbrauhaus Lager
Hofbrauhaus Dunkel
Lowenbrau
Konig Ludwig Dunkel
