Well to be fair, Galatoires is the only restaurant in the city that still requires a jacket for men. It's really not even a top 20 restaurant in Nola so see if you can change their mind. LOL
And please know, that there are a shite ton of great restaurants in the middle ground, above the burger joint but below fancy smancy, especially in Nola.
I like getting dressed up once or twice a year and doing fine dining. It's just a great experience and I can't understand how it would make you feel uncomfortable.
