The runner doesn't have a right to home when the catcher has the ball, they'd have to plow over the catcher to get there. They can all out block it. And if a batter just struck out and gets in the way of the catcher on a throw down the runners out. How does the guy that was just thrown out at second not be grouped with that?

Seems like the SS and 2b should have some sort of recourse to protect themselves or make people think a little before they take out someone's legs.
