What difference does it make? The man did four tours and put his life on the line for your freedom. He should be celebrated for that alone instead of criticized for what was written in a book. Who cares.

And the book was for making money and he probably did say some bs in order to help sell it.
I agree with you. Who cares. His record speaks for itself.
I'd embellish some facts to sell more books and most people do.

I believe him on the New Orleans sniping story for two reasons.
1. If it was true, the military would scratch it's collective head and say "Hmmm, Never heard of that." They are apparently doing this. They would do this either way but...
2. I had an ex Army Ranger in Orlando (He was from New Orleans and still has friends and family there. He also returns every few months.) tell me about a week after Katrina there was a Seal team in N.O. taking out hostiles. This was long before the book was ever written. I could have sworn he said they were operating around Canal Blvd. though.

So serving multiple combat tours is a free pass for stolen valor?
