Did he just take the money for himself and it's gone or is it there just not invested and worth the supposed $10k? If it's there, but not invested as instructed just ask for your money and move on. If it's gone and he's taken it...that's a weird situation. I have no advice...don't give your dad your money again. I had a checking account in HS, you should've too.
