Holy hell, that is way overboard. Just put them in an ice chest, drain plug open, and put a bag of ice on top of the sack. Leave the ice in the bag. Leave ice chest cracked.
You just need to keep them cool and have enough oxygen.

the correct answer
they'll be fine that way for several days assuming they were shipped to you in a similar condition, and havent been out of the water longer than normal
