I've said this before, but Vin Scully's beauty was that he knew when to keep his mouth shut and let the pictures do the talking.
Like after Ray Knight scored on the Mookie Wilson grounder/Bill Buckner error in the 1986 World Series.
I think he was silent for a full three minutes while Shea Stadium went bonkers.
