I wondered this, and re-watched yesterday to see that slight curve the ships were taking-seemed like they focused on that for a reason...

2 possibilities:

If they set sail from Pyke (Eastern coast), they are headed due South: Essos via Broken Arm of Dorne.

But

The Kingsmoot is held on Old Wyck (Western coast). If that is where they sailed from, their course would be North.

Eastwatch by-the-Sea?

Theon going to help Jon and Sansa?
I don't see Asha going for that...

All depends on where most of the "Best ships" were docked. I would drive my Sunday ride to something shmancy like a Kingsmoot, wouldn't you?



ETA: I know E from W, my edit didn't take.
I'm sure someone will have jumped on it by now.

ETA 2: alot of maps vary in distance between the Isles. I concede it looks more like they headed E from Old Wyk and turned South, skirting the N coast of Pyke, as you can see the NE tip of Great Wyk off their Port side.
