I gotcha. I'm not hating on them at all. If I were a deer hunter, I would definitely prefer sitting inside a warm box than freezing my arse off outside.
I just figured they would see that thing that clearly shouldn't be there and avoid it. Clearly not.

Yes, the first few weeks they will be hesitant of a new stand. After that it is no different than a tree
