SEC: LSU

This one is a little tough for me, because I think this team might be the most talented in the SEC. But I honestly don’t even know what to think of what the mental state of the LSU Tigers will be this season. Sure, a team with Leonard Fournette and a defense like it has should be near the top of the playoff charts, but remember all that late-season drama in Baton Rouge? You know, the whole Les Miles was maybe going to be fired, then he wasn’t fired, then everyone loved him? Well, what happens if the Tigers lose early? Is he out? What about a loss to Alabama? Gone then? No matter the talent -- or the supposed improvement of embattled quarterback Brandon Harris -- we have no clue how this team and coaching staff will react to adversity. I can’t trust a team that has to walk a tightrope all season long and could crumble at the first misstep. -- Edward Aschoff
Hard to argue this....

While I do agree with what they had to say about LSU, I disagree with us being "overrated"

I agree with some but the "whole Les Miles thing" is in the past and we came out strong against Texas Tech. With a big Win in the bowl game that momentum can carry to next season. I see us better at every position this year than last year and if Harris can just control, execute, and not turn the ball over, I dont think its crazy us being right there to win the West in November. Time will tell though

I don't get the OP title.

Either way, espn is the one hyping LSU up. Espn had LSU rated high in their recruitment rankings, espn writers are the ones doing these bs pre season rankings.

Espn is driving this train. I'd say majority of LSU fans regardless of their feeling of the coach realize we may just be playing 2nd and 3rd best as long as saban is in Tuscaloosa.

I def think LSU will be solid. Usually by the end of the season there are other teams ranked a head of LSU that play no one. If They were in the sec you can add 1-2 more losses on their resume.

Usually there aren't 15-17 teams better than LSU in any season.

Argument is simple: LSU is bigger, stronger, smarter, and better at nearly every (if not every) position on the field in 2016. We also get arguably the best teams in the best division in the country at home (Ala. and Ole Miss). I will admit the 2015 season crumbled like a burnt piece of toast when they faced adversity but that could also be considered a good argument for LSU being ready for the challenge in 2016. Ready for Lambeau! Geaux Tigers!
