The Dark Knight Trilogy VS Captain America Trilogy - Which do you prefer?

Collider has put together some good articles with each writer explaining their choice. It's inevitable that these trilogies, both wildly successful, will be forever compared to each other. Which one did you enjoy more?
For Captain America Trilogy
For TDK Trilogy
For Captain America Trilogy
For TDK Trilogy

for me, I would give the nod to TDK trilogy - only because to me, i felt Batman Begins was better that Captain America - the 1st Avenger.
that is no slight to the Cap trilogy however - as I love all 3 films as well.

Captain America has the worst film of the six.
Batman probably has the best film of the six.
That being said, I think Winter Soldier and Civil War put together outpace Batman Begins and TDK, so I'll go with Captain America. It's tough to ignore that CA is getting better every movie, where TDK trilogy kind of ended on a low note (imho).

Batman Begins>>>>Cap 1
TDK and WS are probably about even, maybe a slight edge to TDK
Civil War kicks the ever living shite out of TDKR, and I've defended TDKR here.
So I'd side with Captain America, even though I like the character of Batman much more.

If I had to rank the 6 films:
1) The Dark Knight
2) The Winter Soldier
3) Batman Begins
4) Civil War
5) The Dark Knight Rises
6) The First Avenger
So I guess I'll have to go with TDK Trilogy by a hair, but Captain America was still excellent.

I'd have to say it's fairly even. I might give the slight edge to Cap just because CAP Civil War is leaps and bounds better than The Dark Knight Rises.
CAP:1st Avenger vs Batman Begins= BB
CAP:WS vs TDK = Push
CAP:CW vs TDKR = CAP:CW
CAP:1st Avenger vs Batman Begins= BB
CAP:WS vs TDK = Push
CAP:CW vs TDKR = CAP:CW

I'd say Capt, but that's a biased answer. I've always been a huge Capt fan. Though I'm not discounting TDK trilogy b/c its a very well done series and if I had to which to watch over a weekend it would be CA.

Why? They have almost nothing in common besides both being comic book movies?
That and everyone will severely underrate TFA as usual, the poor misunderstood movie.

The Captain America films get better upon repeat viewings, The Dark Knight films.... not so much.

I am not sure it is a fair comparison. The Bat could have teamed up with other superheroes but hasn't. Had they teamed the Justice League together to offset the Avengers movies it would be similar, but as it stands there isn't enough comparables to get a proper evaluation.

I'd have it as a close race. I probably think more of First Avenger than the majority in here.
Begins = First Avenger
Dark Knight > Winter Soldier
Rises < Civil War
Ranking:
Dark Knight 6 points
Winter Soldier 5 points
Batman Begins 4 points
First Avenger 3 points
Civil War 2 points
Dark Knight Rises 1 point
Batman: 11 points (winner)
Captain America: 10 points

This isn't a fair comparison.
1. The Captain America films rely on an understanding of the larger MCU and thus can't be viewed as separate, independent films. The Dark Knight Trilogy are comprised of three, largely independent films that take place in their own universe. You aren't really required to view the other two films to understand one of them.
2. Captain America: Civil War is basically The Avengers 2.5 with the Captain America label attached to it for kicks and giggles.
3. The Dark Knight Trilogy tells a complete story. Captain America's story will end with Infinity Wars and not with his own standalone film.

My ranking:
1. Batman Begins
2. Civil War
3. Winter Soldier
4. TDK (45 minutes too long - two face ACT hurts it)
5. Captain America: TFA (a little too hokey in Acts 2-3)
100. TDKR (absolutely terrible movie across the board)
The only thing that makes this close is the Batman Trilogy up to Rachel's death was near perfect. After that, though, it quickly and immediately becomes a train-wreck. In contrast, the Captain America movies have gotten better and better.

Tough one for me, but I give the slight nod to Bats.

Both are fantastic. The question is:
Do you want your trilogy to start with a bang and end with a semi-thud or start with a semi-thud and end with a bang?

if the russos directed the first avenger, then it would likely have been miles better than what it was.

This one is tough, required some thought.
I'll give the edge to Dark Knight:
DK > WS (really close though)
CW > DKR (wider gap)
BB >>>> FA (difference maker, this one ain't even close)
That said, both trilogies are among the best in comic movies

This is tough. It kind of depends on how you look at it to be honest.
Simply looking at the 3 films, I'd say you have to give the nod to DK mainly b/c you pretty much are required to see several other Marvel films to fully understand what is going on in CA3. At the very least Avengers, Ultron, and Iron Man 2 should probably be seen to get enough context for Tony's motivations, his relationship to his father, a bit more on Steve's feelings for Peggy, and instances of Steve and Tony butting heads.
However, if we are talking which series has the best overall payoff in pure entertainment value? I have to say CA wins hands down. The Nolan Batman films can be a little too heavy and brooding for me and I never much cared for the Rachael Dawes storyline (regardless of the actress). Also in favor of Cap is that WS and CW actually made me like TFA much more than I originally did to the point that I will stop and watch it now when its on TV.

First avenger was so terrible that we shouldn't even consider CA as a trilogy yet

Is there reason to think this was the last Captain America movie? I don't think it will only be a trilogy with the present incarnation.
