I think that with the dreadful luck of so called "lame duck" coordinators in the past, it is quite a risk to have Pelini sticking around for the national championship game. The most notable and recent example of how this can so easily backfire was Mark Richt and Florida St a few years ago. Richt was the offensive coordinator for the high powered Seminole offense and had already accepted the head coaching job at Georgia. In the title game, FSU did not put up a touchdown against Oklahoma. To win a national title, you need complete focus from everybody. That is impossible to accomplish when your defensive coordinator is spending half of his time halfway across the country at another school.

I'm really mixed on this one so I'm putting my faith in Glenn Dorsey.

I hope a healthy, motivated Glenn Dorsey will trump a lame duck Pelini.

BTW - Lame Duck Pelini is also a new sandwich offered at Fazoli's. Its really good if you order it with extra mariana sauce and get the bun toasted.

If he can just remember to blitz I think it'll be fine.
