I did this for the first couple of years after college (mom got a discount for multiple vehicles being on her insurance). Eventually they figured it out even though I never had a wreck nor claim during that time. They told me I had to join up or lose my insurance.

I checked out some other companies and ended up saving about 50% per month (translation: frick you, Farm Bureau).
