So a few weeks ago I was browsing NetFlix and decided "what the heck."... Watched a couple episodes and found myself kinda hooked.
I know it's any old series, and I'm only in S2, but did anyone enjoy this show as much as I am?

It's a very popular series on this board, rightfully so.

Once you get past the fact that a bunch of grown arse men are playing teens it's pretty intertaining.... Tim Riggins is a bad arse!

I got 10 minutes in and couldn't wrap my head around caring about high schoolers.

You can skip S2 and go straight to S3. S2 was thrown out essentially because of the writers strike that year.
ETA: Well maybe not skip, but just prepared when you start S3 for a bunch of abrupt plot changes.

As the parent of a high school girl, I found a lot of parenting tips in the show. I really enjoyed overall.

what kind of tips? All I remember is the players banging every girl in the school haha

Mostly from Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton's characters. But, also what NOT to do with from seeing how those girls were getting banged and how they were parented. Haha.

The Taylors have probably the best TV marriage I've ever seen. Really good show.

Don't get me wrong though. I'm not so old that I can't appreciate Andrienne Palicki and Minka Kelley. Wow.

I would smash Mrs. Taylor

Hell yeah! I've watched it from beginning to end about 5 times.

The responses so far are spot on: great show; fine women; forget season 2 and March on; and Texas forever.

I watched this religiously back in high school. Then it just started getting cliche and too predictable. I don't remember where I left off. Might be interested in trying again. Last thing I vividly remember was the dude Jason (I think that was the old QB) is an arse and his girlfriend was dramatic and whiny. They broke up because he was handicapped huh? And the coach accepted a job as a college head coach right?
Can anyone tell me about where I was in the series?
