It sounds to me like Krzyzewski was just pointing towards Duke's excellent academics as a plus for kids who hoped to someday graduate. And, you know, maybe win a championship in the process.

None of these kids deciding between the two give a shite about that stuff. They want to be there for a year or two then go to the NBA. This isn't a CFB pitch where the kid has to be there for 3 years or more.

I'm no Duke fan, far from it, but that's the way I read it. Duke prepares you for life whether or not basketball is a part of your future.
