can you use oil based primer on wood and follow with latex paint? Exterior paint if it matters.

It's ideal to stick to the same in theory but I haven't ever seen any real difference with oil primers and latex coating honestly.


Don't go with a latex primer and oil based paint though.


(Not a painter, but worked in the distribution side of coatings)
