right. but how does it know if it is amazon fire 1 2 or 3. or lamp with the same bulbs 1 2 or 6

you shouldn't care. those don't use enough power to amount to a hill of beans.

you want it to monitor your 65" tv, cable box, w/d, hvac, fridge, PC, microwave, stove, etc.
