Notice how he hasn't recently? He was on every comic con panel 2011-2014. Not 2015

He specifically said he wasn't writing for the show or traveling to the more recent Comic-Cons in an effort to finish WoW since he only writes from home. It doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the show. If anything it seems as if he feels comfortable enough to leave D&D to their devices and knows they can be treated as two different storylines/mediums.

ETA: His editors also thought he had a good shot at an October/January deadline for WoW because he was working towards that. That suggests he's just been at home trying to get it done instead of hitting up cons.
